Darassa, whose real name is Sharif Thabit Ramadhan, is a Tanzanian hip hop artist known for his signature tune ‘Muziki’, which became a mega tune across East Africa in 2016. He started doing music while in secondary school and dropped out of school when he was in form four. Darassa’s music career started in 2014 when he released the song ‘Sikati Tamaa’. He then took a break from music.
Many of his songs became very popular and trendy online with a great number of streaming and downloads on Boomplay.
